As a young man, John worked as a croupier in the gaming business, which gave birth to his novel Dying to Win, a true story about the takedown of a Chinese cartel stealing millions of dollars from the Baccarat tables in Atlantic City.
John worked in the film industry as a technician on editing equipment for NYU film school and Columbia University as well as filmmakers Spike Lee, Woody Allen, the Cousteau Society and HBO. Watching these artists work on their projects showed John how to build a story that keeps his readers riveted.
He has owned property in Belize and has traveled extensively throughout Central America and Guatemala, which gave life to his novel The Maya Portal.
For the last twenty years, John has worked in the medical field in the emergency rooms, operating suites, and trauma hospitals as an X-ray and MRI technologist, which gave birth to another novel about the suppression of a cancer cure.
While still maintaining a full time band, John enjoys life in Florida with his wife and grandchildren while pursuing his writing endeavors.
